Moving Day

Yesterday we had the great privilege to assist the family of Parwana and Korshid move from their very poor dwellings in the broken hills of Kabul to a more centrally located home near schools, shops, and their music program. Thanks to everyone who has assisted with this year long effort. The family is extremely grateful for this new opportunity. After losing two little girls, a brother in law, and other immense challenges it is such a wondrous feeling to know so many care about the least of these our brethren…

I am a guitarist. I find the picture in this post looks cute. Classical guitar isn't limited to classical music. I simply plug in my guitar, playing it and listening to the music. The reason I love playing guitar is that no matter how I feel it can always make it more. Like if I am feeling sad and I play something sad it gives me an even deeper sadness. It's more satisfying. It's like every note I play can express something that words simply cannot. But at the same time it gives the listener a place to figure out their own feelings and meanings into what they need. It really is something to be able to do what you love and make other people enjoy it as well. Music is for everything. It can help with anything. It's amazing.
